The Best Salmon Patties

The Best Salmon Patties You'll Ever Have Fire Up The Grill And Give These A Try

With summer in full effect, there's nothing better than firing up the grill and having a family dinner out back. Now that I've become more conscience of my diet and meat intake, I've been on a mission to find the perfect salmon burger. This recipe not only hit the spot, but exceeded my expectations. Do yourself a favor and give this a try your next family backyard outing!

Ingredients (Serves 5)

2 tbsp butter

1 medium onion, chopped

1 salt, to taste

1 black pepper, freshly ground, to taste

2 clove garlic, minced

1 can (14.75 oz) salmon, drained, flaked, and bones removed (if desired)

1⁄2 cup crackers, crushed into crumbs

2 egg, beaten

1⁄4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

1 tbsp dijon mustard

3 tbsp olive oil

Directions

  • Prep 15 min

  • Cook 10 min

  • Ready 25 min

  1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion, season with salt and black pepper, and saute for 5 minutes or until tender. Add garlic and cook for 1 more minute. Cool slightly.

  2. In a medium bowl, combine onions and garlic, salmon, cracker crumbs, eggs, parsley, and dijon mustard. Mix until well blended, then shape into six patties. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook patties until browned, then carefully turn over and brown on the other side.
